A benching system originally developed for Shell's Emergency Response Facility (SERF) providing a robust, multi-screen solution complete with large-capacity cable management and integrated CPU storage. Overall dimensions:11m x 1.8 m providing accommodation for 16 people plus 3 touch down positions at the 'D' end. Lift-up hinged flaps and ventilation grills provide users and technical staff with quick access to power and data points. All leading edges were manufactured using polyurethane (PU) moulded edges. At the other end a Visualiser Mapping table was required for large format maps to be digitally recorded. The solution required a method to encapsulate the map, to keep it flat and remove any deep creases before the overhead camera recorded the image. This project was achieved within an 8 week period including design and installation.
